BEHIND THE LOGO
Every element of our logo carries the spirit of our mission: independent living through inclusion and collaboration. The “Y” in the logo represents society stepping forword while the “W” embodies PwDs moving with resilience. When able-community and PwDs join hands, what once seemed distant becomes achievable- reflected in the moon”C”. Together we prove that when we break the physical and social barries, we can achieve every dream.
OUR STORY
YES! WE CAN TRUST is a registered national-level NGO established in 2013 under the Indian Trust Act of 1882 and governed by the Government of NCT of Delhi. Built by and for persons with disabilities (PWDs), it is a family rooted in resilience, dignity, and empowerment. The founding members, each living with disabilities themselves, came together with a bold vision—to create a safe, inclusive space and support system, and to challenge the stereotypes that label PWDs as weak or incapable.
Our Subsequent Goals:
Visibility: Promoting the presence of PWDs through inclusive public and cultural events. Accessibility: Advocating active participation and accessible environments, including tourism. Caregiving: Supporting caregiver identification and training through National Trust initiatives. Employment: Encouraging jobs, entrepreneurship, and connections with government and non-government schemes. Sensitization: Conducting awareness workshops across government, corporate, media, education, and healthcare sectors. Hidden Talent & Empowerment: Organizing workshops in arts, sports, and skills to unlock and showcase individual potential.
OUR MISSION AND VISION
“It is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the doing. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving.”
Rooted in empathy and dignity, YES! WE CAN TRUST believes in the limitless potential of persons with disabilities (PWDs). We envision a society where PWDs live with independence, purpose, and respect—especially those with high support needs. Our goal is not just inclusion, but leadership—where PWDs design systems, lead conversations, and shape solutions. We aim to increase the visibility of PWDs in workplaces, education, governance, and cultural spaces. We work to remove both attitudinal barriers (bias and stereotypes) and structural barriers (infrastructure and access). We believe PWDs are experts of their own lives, and their voices must guide inclusive policies and services.
MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER
MEENU MANI : FOUNDER / DIRECTOR
Warm greetings from YES! WE CAN TRUST.
This journey began with a set of difficult questions, questions that arise not just from society or systems, but from life itself, which constantly challenges adults living with disabilities in multifaceted ways. These questions inspired us to seek answers together, and that is how Yes! We Can was born as a platform for finding collective strength, solutions, and solidarity.
What started as a support search has grown into a vibrant, resilient movement. We discovered that in sharing our stories, challenges, and victories, we were not only empowering ourselves but also creating a powerful support system for others. Over the years, we have seen individuals from all walks of life join us—supporting our cause, amplifying our vision, and walking alongside us in the mission for inclusion.
The road ahead is long, but the spirit of our community is unbreakable. I invite each one of you reading this to be part of this journey. Let us build together an inclusive, equitable society where no one is left behind—not because of their disability, but can be independent and achieve their goals with mobility.
Together, we can, and we will.
